What is Dews Tactical?

Dews Tactical is a proud U.S. veteran owned business that provides training courses for responsible citizens and armed professionals seeking to broaden their knowledge, skills and proficiency. Our goal is to increase students’ skills and abilities in firearms tactics and manipulation, defensive tactics and situational awareness.

Kelvin Dews

Owner/Instructor

Kelvin is a retired Sergeant with the Texas Department of Public Safety. He has 24 years of law enforcement experience and held the position of lead firearms and tactics instructor for over 15 years with the Texas DPS. Kelvin has provided instruction to various local, state and federal agencies as well as military personnel. He is also an Instructor with the Sig Sauer Academy. He has several certifications in firearms and tactics along with armorer certifications.

Kelvin (K.J.) Dews

President

K.J. Dews is the president of Dews Tactical. K.J. is a two sport athlete, playing football and baseball growing up. He played collegiate baseball for Concordia University Texas and Huston-Tillotson University. K.J. graduated from Concordia University with a BBA degree with a concentration in accounting and financial management. Being the son of a firearms instructor, K.J. is a shooting enthusiast that has spent many hours on the range.
